HTC makes it a habit to tout the all-metal body on the HTC One M8 every chance it gets, and rightly so, considering that metallic unibody design is one of the biggest attractions of the company’s flagship smartphone. However, a new report suggests that in pursuit of a lower price tag, HTC is working on a plastic variant of the One M8, one that will have a lesser build but will otherwise carry the exact same hardware....
From the outside, at least, the Nova 2 Lite seems to be largely inspired by its cousin, the Honor 9 Lite. There’s an all-glass body and three color options to choose from — Matte Black, Blue, and Gold. The front is mostly dominated by a tall 5.99-inch HD+ IPS screen which leaves minimal room for bezels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 instead of the company’s own Kirin chipsets....
However, Xiaomi was quick to respond and in a statement said “The transparent back on Mi 8 Explorer Edition is indeed made of transparent glass, and there isn’t a sticker with a picture on it. The parts that you see on the back upper half, for example, are parts of the actual mainboard.” The only way to check the veracity of those claims was to wait until someone managed to acquire a unit....
Bloomberg sources report that Apple is planning major improvements to the iPhone’s lock screen in the forthcoming iOS 16 and iPhone 14. News of the possible iOS features comes ahead of Apple’s 2022 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) beginning June 6, where it shares what’s new in its operating systems and hardware. Today, adding to their woes is the arrest of some of their senior level designers in Taipei, over the suspicion of fraudulent expense claims and stealing of some trade secrets. Of the five people arrested, the notable ones include Vice President of Product design Thomas Chien, R&D Director Wu Chien Hung and the person who personally sketched out the One’s design, Justin Huang. The latest data from research firm Canalys shows that the Indian smartphone market has overtaken U.S. to become the world’s second largest smartphone market in the world after China. Moto X camera capabilities was never really good enough compared to the competition. A software update did help in improving things immensely, but the camera software was still partially broken. The touch to focus feature in the Camera app, always focused in the centre, and did not expose the images accordingly. This led to out of focused, blurry images, with lost details. Thankfully, with the KitKat update for the Moto X, Motorola has tweaked the Camera app to greatly improve the touch to focus capabilities of the handset....

Build, Design & Display The Z25 delivered quality experience throughout our usage. We really loved the ergonomics, the curves, and the build quality. It does resemble the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 a lot, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
