Usually, app updates could be found nestled in their own personalized tab in the App Store. If you try to access that same tab in the app store today, you’ll notice that it’s been replaced with an Apple Arcade tab. The App Store has truly become prime real estate with this new update. This change has some users all turned around, but don’t worry; we have a simple road map for you to follow. We’ll show you where these app updates are and how to get there.

How to update apps in iOS 13

App updates now currently reside in the account screen of the App Store. You can access the account screen by simply tapping your profile picture, which can be found at the top-right corner of the interface. If you scroll down, you’ll see all of the pending app updates along with any recently updated apps. If no updates are shown, you can pull down the page from the top to refresh and force your device to check for any updates. If there are any updates available, you can either tap Update All, found at the top of the list, or you can choose to update each app individually. The second way to update apps is to hold the App Store icon. This opens a menu and you can choose Updates. Lastly, you still have the option to automatically update apps by accessing  Settings, going to the iTunes & App Store and toggling the switch next to the App Updates option. Like any other new layout, it will take some time to get used to. In fact, at first it may seem as if these updates have been purposely hidden, but over time you may come to appreciate the idea of having easy access to all of your apps, purchases, subscriptions and updates in one place.
