HTC has just unveiled the midrange Desire 310 handset as a successor to the Desire 300 from 2013. And as with any successor, the smartphone carries quite a lot of changes, mostly with regards to its look and feel. It comes with a 4.5 inch FWVGA (480 x 854) display, a 5 megapixel camera on the back as well as a 1.3 GHz quad core processor (possibly made by MediaTek). The Desire 310 also features 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which is expandable through the microSD card slot. It will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC specific features like BlinkFeed and Video Highlights. The press image above also reveals that the smartphone will feature stock Android app icons, which is a tad surprising. The Taiwanese manufacturer is yet to spill the beans on pricing, but considering that this is a budget ranged offering, we don’t think HTC will ask for much. The press release states that the handset will be available in Taiwan starting from April, with no word on a global roll out yet.
