HTC, today, announced that it will be bringing a dual-SIM variant of its 2013 flagship – the HTC One – to the United Kingdom. Apart from dual-SIM functionality, this variant of One will also include a microSD card slot that supports microSD cards of up to 64GB. HTC has already been selling the dual-SIM variant of the One in some of the Asian markets including China and India. Apart from the inclusion of an extra microSIM card slot and a microSD card slot, the specs of the handset remain the same as its single SIM variant. This includes a stunning 4.7-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon S600 processor, front-facing BoomSound speakers and a 4MP camera with OIS. The dual-SIM functionality on the One would allow users to receive phone calls from either SIM at any time, and will also offer seamless switching between them. HTC’s official product page suggests that the dual-SIM One will ship with Sense 5 and not Sense 5.5, that is already rolling out to European version of the single SIM variant of the One. The handset is already up for pre-order in the U.K. at £494.95, with an unknown shipping date.
