Once the devices of the Desire range were the flagships of the brand but for some time this surname has been used to gain strength in the middle and lower middle range. In the case of the new HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ we have two phones with a very good design but specifications that we think are a little short compared to the rest of mid-range phones that are stomping.

The HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ incorporate panels of 5.5 and 6 inches respectively in 18:9 format and HD+ resolution. But beyond its IPS LCD panel draws attention to its careful design, with an appearance that reminds us of the HTC U11. The edges are curved and the back is made of an optimized glass with the acrylic surface that gives a different design to the classic aluminium of many mid-range. In the end, we can find that most devices are similar and HTC, despite not offering the most cutting-edge features, still has its own design. A bet that unfortunately is not accompanied by a more powerful processor or a higher level camera. Inside the HTC Desire 12, we find a MediaTek 6739 processor, while on the HTC Desire 12+ we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The second is a fairly capable processor but clearly oriented to the more affordable midrange. But as we will see later, the price of these Desire is above what we are used to for this combination of characteristics. The Desire 12 comes with 2GB and 16GB versions of storage or 3GB and 32GB, while the Plus model will only be in the most powerful combination. For the battery, we have 2730mAh and 2965mAh respectively. For the photographic section, HTC reserves the double camera to the HTC Desire 12+. The standard model stays with a sensor of 13 megapixels while the Desire 12+ has 13 megapixels plus a secondary of two to realize the always striking bokeh effect. Up front, we have five and eight megapixels for each model. The HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ will be available for purchase in India at an approximate price of 200 dollars and 249 dollars respectively. We will have to wait for the official availability of each region to be confirmed. The colours available as we can anticipate by the promotional images will be black, lilac and gold.
