As we inch closer to the end of the year, rumors of upcoming flagships from Android manufacturers are bound to start cropping up online. Today, we are getting a few details about HTC’s next flagship smartphone, which could be codenamed Perfume and replaces the previously rumored HTC O2. According to @LlabTooFeR, a reliable source of information on HTC smartphones (and software updates), the HTC Perfume will debut the company’s Sense 8 UI and run Android 6.1 Marshmallow. HTC was the first manufacturer to launch a smartphone running Android 6.0, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Perfume run Android 6.1 even though the latter hasn’t been announced yet. It remains to be seen if the Perfume will be a sequel to the One M9 or a different device. Given the Taiwanese manufacturer’s inability to keep its upcoming devices under wraps, it shouldn’t be long before more details on the Perfume begin to show up to give us a better picture of what HTC is up to.
