HTC found a success in the U11 flagship smartphone, and the rumor mill has suggested for awhile now that the company could have a direct follow up heading down the pipe. Now, what appears to be renders of the alleged, unofficial handset have surfaced. The images, along with a video, show a handset that does indeed share plenty of similarities to the original U11. They were originally published by @Onleaks and Couponraja.in. The liquid glass rear is on the back, as one would expect, which makes it stand out. The fingerprint reader is on the back of these renders, which would be a change of design from the original U11 where the fingerprint reader was on the front. Otherwise, the U11 Plus seems to be a mirror image of the original model. As far as specifications go, the report indicates that the handset will feature a six-inch Quad HD display, with variants that include either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor will allegedly be under the hood, and it doesn’t look like a 3.5mm headphone jack will be included. HTC’s Edge Sense, which allows owners to squeeze the sides of the phone to control software elements, will be present, too. HTC could be hosting an event on November 2, and, if that is indeed the case, it stands to reason that the company will be officially announcing the U11 Plus on that date.
Based on the rumored specs and the images, do you think you’ll consider picking up the U11 Plus?
