Huawei has another Android-based smartphone heading to the market, which it has just unveiled at CES 2017. The Honor 6X is now official, a successor to the Honor 5X. The specs list is pretty great considering the price tag, with an octa-core Kirin 655 processor under the hood, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage for the base model. The international variants will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. The device features a 3340mAh battery, which Huawei says will last two days. Each variant also includes a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The display measures in at 5.5 inches, and it’s a 1080p HD panel, with an 8MP front-facing camera above it. There’s a microUSB port, along wit ha 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint reader on the back. It’s running Android 6.0 underneath Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 4.1 user interface. The biggest takeaway of the Honor 6X is its dual-camera setup on the back, though. The main camera is a 12-megpixel shooter, and the other is a 2MP camera. It has Phase Detection Focus, 0.3-second focus, and Huawei has included a plethora of different photo modes. Huawei is putting up the Honor 6X in a limited-time flash sale on four separate days: January 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 1:00pm ET until 3:00pm ET. During those times it will be available for $199.99. Outside of those windows, the Honor 6X is priced at $249.99. It will be available in gray, gold, and silver. It goes on sale in the U.S. on January 15, with pre-orders launching January 4.
