A high resolution render of the Huawei-made Nexus 6P has been leaked by Android Police which gives us the clearest look at the handset yet. The render confirms that the Nexus 6P will come with front-facing stereo speakers that will be hidden beneath some hefty bezels at the top and bottom of the display. The speaker grilles are reminiscent of the front-facing stereo speakers of 2014’s Motorola-made Google Nexus 6. The 5.7-inch display is expected to feature a Quad HD resolution, and under the hood the device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset. At the back, we see the ‘NEXUS’ logo with a fingerprint scanner just above it. There is a huge bump with a black bar at the top of the device that houses the camera and the dual LED flash. From the render, it looks like the Nexus 6P will not come with a LaserAF sensor, which leaked pictures have indicated will be present on the Nexus 5X. To my eyes, the design of the Huawei Nexus 6P does not really look attractive or even understated like some of the previous Nexus devices. Plus, the huge top and bottom bezels — while symmetrical — will not be liked by many, especially since the Nexus 6 had tiny bezels surrounding its display. Hopefully, the device will look much better in real life than it does in the render above. In addition to the Nexus 6P render, Android Police has also posted images of the retail box of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, which confirms that Google does indeed plan on calling them with the same name. The render of the retail boxes do not reveal any other information about the devices, except for confirming that both models will be available in 32GB storage capacities. Google will be unveiling the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P at its event in San Francisco on September 29.
