Dual-camera systems aren’t entirely new, but they have yet to really pick up steam. Huawei’s back at it again anyway, with the P9 showcasing the same technology as the Honor 6 Plus. Now, though, thanks to a report from VentureBeat we have what appears to be the P9 out in the wild, showing off its metal frame and rear fingerprint reader, as well as the dual-camera system on the back. As far as features go, the report says that the device boasts an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, along with 3GB of RAM, ands 32GB of built-in storage. The display measures in at 5.2-inches, and it’s a 1080p HD panel. The battery is said to be 3900mAh, it will feature a USB Type-C port, and be running Android 6.0.1 out of the box.
The cameras on the back are said to be both 12-megapixel shooters, up from the 8MP cameras on the Honor 6 Plus back in 2014. There’s no word on what the camera is on the front. And, unfortunately, no word on a release date or pricing just yet. What do you think of the P9?
