Evleaks has managed to access what appears to be an image of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, shown here as the Galaxy S5 Dx. Leaks in the past have indicated that the mini variant of the current Samsung flagship does exist, but this is the first time we’re seeing the smartphone in a live image. Interestingly, the device was visible on Samsung UK’s official page, thus confirming the leak’s authenticity. While the page has now been taken down, it is quite obvious that a launch is forthcoming. The mention of ‘Dx’ is a tad surprising and indicates that Samsung could be going with a different moniker this time around. The image also reveals that the Galaxy S5 Mini won’t contain the heart rate sensor with only the flash visible beneath the camera lens. Unsurprisingly, the device looks to be quite smaller than the Galaxy S5 as well, giving further credence to the report. The image does look pretty authentic, so we don’t suspect any foul play here. All that’s left now is for Samsung to announce the handset and put an end to the mystery and leaks once and for all.
