Motorola’s focus on Moto Mods hasn’t wavered, especially with a brand new Indiegogo campaign to bolster more attention. While that campaign is underway, though, Motorola felt it appropriate to actually launch some new Moto Mods in the meantime. As The Verge reports, the company has two new options to choose from, one of which is available now, the other coming soon. That first option is a Mophie-branded battery pack (pictured above). This new option is bigger than the current battery pack options, offering up a 3000mAh battery inside, which Motorola says can offer up to 60 percent more battery life for the Moto Z attached to it. The battery pack also includes a status indicator light, and a USB Type-C port so it can be charged independently of the phone. It retails for $79.99 and it’s available from Verizon right now.
The other new addition to the Moto Mods lineup is an Incipio Car Dock. It will attach to a vehicle’s air conditioning vent, and can position the phone either vertically or horizontally. It will allow the owner to connect the phone to their car audio system by way of a 3.5mm output, and it also automatically launches Android Auto when it’s docked. It will retail for $64.99 when it launches soon. Finally, Motorola says it will launch more Moto Mods in 2017 than it did in 2016. It plans on releasing four new options every quarter.
