Earlier this month, a screenshot of the new Optimus UI in LG’s upcoming flagship — the G3 — made its way to the Internet. The leaked screenshot showed off a flatter looking UI with new icons. Now, the folks over at GSMArena have received more screenshots of the new Optimus UI that will make its debut on the LG G3.  The screenshots confirm what the previous leak suggested — a brand new flatter and cleaner looking Optimus UI with new icons. The leaked notification bar screenshot shows off the rounded toggles in quick settings suggesting that LG has taken inspiration from Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on the Galaxy S5. Compared to the current mess that the Optimus UI looks like, the new UI looks to be a step in the right direction, even though HTC’s Sense still trumps them all.

One of the screenshots on the home screen also reveals a new feature that LG will be introducing on the G3: a weather widget that will give users personalised recommendation depending on their habits. Lastly, the screenshots also reaffirm that the G3 will come with a Quad HD screen, something that LG has already confirmed. The LG G3 is expected to be unveiled in a couple of months from now and will sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM and an IPX7 rating.
