LeEco which is known for its overspec’d smartphones in China and India plans on making its debut in the United States next month. Besides smartphones, the company sells a wide variety of other devices including TVs and bicycles. It is, in fact, also working on a self-driving vehicle.
The company plans on making its debut in the United States on October 19th. LeEco recently unveiled the Le Pro 3 smartphone in China packing 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 821 chipset for a mere $270.The company managed to sell 500,000 units of the handsets in only 15 seconds. This should give one an idea of just how popular the company’s handsets are in China. It is unclear what products the Chinese company will be bringing to the United States with its debut next month. Whichever devices it does end up unveiling in the US, do remember that their prices will be slightly higher than their Chinese counterpart due to higher transportation charges, taxes, and other expenses. Nonetheless, the company’s smartphones should still offer better value for money than similarly spec’d devices. LeEco, formerly Letv, first came to spotlight for offering a Netflix-like streaming service in China. Since then though, the company has expanded to a wide range of products and devices, including smartphones and self-driving cars.
