Chinese company LeTV has made quite a name for itself in China with its ‘Superphone’ series of smartphone. The company manages to offer some high-end premium Android smartphones with top-notch hardware at absolutely killer price. The company recently rebranded itself as LeEco, and today, it officially announced its entry into the Indian smartphone market by launching the Le Max and Le 1S in the country. The Le Max is the flagship smartphone of the company and comes with metal unibody design that sports a gigantic 6.33-inch Quad HD display. The right and left edges of the display are surrounded by only 0.8mm thin bezels that help in making the smartphone more portable than its screen size actually suggests.
Under the hood, the LeEco Le Max is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset and an Adreno 430 GPU. Other key specs of the device include 64/128GB of internal storage, 21MP IMX230 rear shooter with an F/2.0 aperture and OIS that is aided by a dual-tone LED flash, a 4MP front-facing selfie shooter, a fingerprint scanner located at its rear, and a USB Type-C port. The Le Max also houses an audio chip from AKG to ensure that it delivers outstanding music quality. All of this is powered by a beefy 3400mAh battery. The Le Max has been priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 64GB variant, while the 128GB Gold variant will set you back by Rs. 36,999. Additionally, LeEco will also be launching the 128GB Sapphire variant of the Le Max that comes with a sapphire display for Rs. 69,999. The Le 1S on the other hand is a budget oriented smartphone that sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and packs 3GB RAM. It also comes with 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash, and a 5MP shooter with an 85-degree wide-angle lens in the front. Other notable features of the Le 1S include a fingerprint scanner at its rear, quick charging support, a USB Type-C connector, Dual SIM connectivity, Dirac HD audio, and a 3000mAh battery. The Le 1S has been priced at Rs. 10,999.
Both handsets run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, with LeEco’s EUI running on top of it. The Le Max and 1S will be sold in India exclusively through Flipkart via flash sales. The first sale for the Le 1S is scheduled to happen on February 2nd, with registrations starting from today, while the flash sale for Le Max will be held on February 16.
