After missing for the majority part of 2017, Lenovo is back with its new mid-range handset: the Lenovo K8 Note. The company unveiled the handset at an event in Delhi, India. Previously, Lenovo used to unveil its new handsets in China first before bringing them to India a few months down the line. This time around though, the company held the K8 Note’s global launch in India. Struggling in the wake of heavy competition from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, and Vivo, Lenovo has been missing from the smartphone market for quite a few months. It is now launching the K8 Note under its new vision which is evident from the specs and features that the phone packs.
The Lenovo K8 Note is aimed at millennials and is packed to the brim with new features. The handset comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display that is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X23 chipset — a deca-core chip clocked at up to 2.3GHz. This is paired with a Mali-T880 GPU, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage, and a microSD card slot. The rear of the K8 Note features a dual camera setup with dual flash. The primary sensor is a 13MP shooter, while the second one is a 5MP sensor. At the front, there is a 13MP f/2.0 shooter with selfie light feature. The 8.5mm thick handset packs in a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. On the software front, as previously announced by Lenovo, the K8 Note runs on a stock build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat with no bloatware pre-installed. Lenovo promises to roll out quick Android updates to the K8 Note as well.
