LG has just confirmed that the G Flex 2 and the Vu 4 will be launched later this year. While no specifics were mentioned, it’s good to know that the launch of the G Flex 2 has been pushed to 2014 while it was initially believed to be available starting 2015. The Vu series is LG’s oddly shaped phablet which was launched back in 2012 and has seen two iterations since then. The smartphone isn’t as popular as the G Flex or the G Pro, but is a well known device in LG’s home region of South Korea. LG hasn’t exactly mentioned the hardware specifications of either device as it’s still quite early for that, but we expect to see most of the key features intact for both smartphones, including the G Flex’ bendable shape and self-healing material, and the Vu’s pen input and weird 4:3 screen ratio. LG’s upcoming G Flex 2 is expected to feature a new unique feature apart from the self healing back cover and the curved OLED display, so it has certainly piqued our interest.
