LG has just announced a new variant of the G3 for its home market — the LG G3 A. While the handset sports the same design as its bigger sibling, it features the specs of its last year’s predecessor — the G2. The G3 A comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. Other specs include 2GB of RAM, LTE-A support, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 2610 mAh removable battery. Thankfully, the G3 A comes with the same camera module as the G3 — a 13MP OIS+ snapper with Laser AF sensor. On the software side, the G3 A runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and will come with all the goodies that we have already seen on LG’s flagship handset. Interestingly, LG has also included a unique new software feature on the handset that will allow users to control some functions of it via simple wrist movements. The G3 A would be available in two colors — black and white — with a 3D metallic pattern, as seen on the Nexus 4 and G Pro 2, on its back. It would be available exclusively in South Korea on the country’s largest carrier — SK Telecom.
