We recently told you about how the LG G3 was outselling the Samsung Galaxy S5 in South Korea. Today we’re learning exactly how well the smartphone has done so far. According to a new report, over 100,000 units of the smartphone have already been sold since its launch in the region on the 28th of May. This is a good indicator of how well LG is marketing its new flagship and also tells us a great deal about the timing of the launch. Just as the initial hype and buzz for the Samsung flagship simmered down, LG managed to swoop in with this gargantuan offering. It will be interesting to see if the company will manage to replicate the success in world markets as well where the smartphone is expected to land by July. To jog your memory a little, the LG G3 contains a 5.5 inch 2K resolution display, a 13-megapixel camera with Laser Autofocus and OIS+ technology, a quad core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2 or 3GB of RAM depending on the market, 16GB or 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 3,000 mAh battery powering the whole thing. Retailers in the UK and Europe are believed to be taking pre-orders for the smartphone already, while other parts of the world won’t have to wait much longer either.
