Earlier this month, LG proudly announced that its flagship handset, the LG G4, will be the first non-Nexus smartphone to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The update was scheduled to start rolling out in Poland first from the third week of October followed by Europe, Asia, and other markets over the course of the next few weeks and months. Sadly, LG has had to halt the roll-out of the update for the handset in Poland due to “technical reasons.” It is likely that the company discovered some serious bugs in the final firmware that prompted it to suspend the update. Hopefully, LG will be able to fix the bugs as soon as possible and commence with the roll out once again.
Don’t be disappointed if you are an LG G4 owner though. The official KDZ (firmware) of the update is already available for download and your flashing pleasure over at XDA forums. The KDZ is only for the H815 variant of the handset that have root access and an unlocked bootloader. The flashing procedure is not really simple though, so proceed with caution and make sure to create a backup of all your important data on the device.
